Nationally recognized May Book Project kicks off in St. Louis for the new school year
The May Book Project officially kicked off its new school year in St. Louis with an author visit from Julia and Brad Riew, two St. Louis natives who are now New York Times Bestselling authors with their debut young adult fantasy novel, The Last Tiger.
Their visit spanned several schools and reached nearly 2,000 people, including students, educators, and the public.
Here’s one news clip from KSDK-TV, the NBC affiliate in St. Louis when Julia visited Brentwood Middle and High schools for an author visit.
Several groups, including independent schools MICDS, Forsyth School, The Whitfield School, and John Burroughs School sponsored the event. The authors were also supported by The Cheshire Hotel and RGA, Reinsurance Group of America, which is headquartered in Chesterfield, Mo.
The May Book Project is a free youth literature program that promotes literacy with greater depth and perspective.
